PROJECT
Logo

Saber Weight Systems is a new entry in the highly competitive adjustable weights category. Market leaders included Powerblock, Bowflex and others. We wanted the name and logo to communicate the attributes of a new patented adjustable weight system. Those attributes included faster weight changing, a more secure locking system, a more compact design (13" versus 17") and a brand that spoke to both experienced and novice weightlifters. We created Saber as a brand that would target a variety of people wanting a superior home gym or small office gym workout. Powerblock, by comparison, seems quite cumbersome with one center bar and 4, yes 4 outside holding bars which makes spotting riskier and on sight, would dissuade some from using it. Bowflex had what can be likened to "missing tooth" syndrom as various weight setting are selected. Our Saber looks like a real dumb bell - it's tight, rounded. elegant yet highly functional. The branding was carried into the web site www.saberfit.com and the product is expected to launch in February 2012.
